Yeah, what is this place? The condition of it is very good and it's either isolated or pretty well watched, that little circle is the first graffitti I've seen. I love that you caught it in the snow. Great for contrast and for outlining things like the rocks in another shot and the ledge here. The colunms of the arches seen through that window have a strange 3D effect when viewed full size.
The ruin is the remains of a wollen mill built in 1867 and survived 100 years until it was burned out in 1967. The ruin is now part of a conservation area (park) located in Rockwood Ontario, Canada.
Kilie: The columns you see through the window are, in fact, other windows part of the wall behind. A bit of a trick due to the angle of the shot. It's too bad about the start of the graffiti. Humorous if you ponder. The incomplete Anarchy symbol the wayward artist was trying to paint was apparently interrupted.. Considering the meaning of the symbol "determination" apparently the artist was not determined enough to finish the work and was likely scared away with visitors. ;)
Verena: All the walls shown here were originally interior walls. The circle (in the top right) is steel lined and could have been used as a conduit for heat or plumbing between the sections of the building.
