I love spots like this to sit and enjoy breathing in the woodsy air..and the ferns and pines that filter the yucky city stuff...This is darling...and well, the dead leaves? they DO have to go sometime, the nice thing is that they nourish the earth for other things to flourish, ferns love that leaf stuff . Nice posting..I always love your woodsy photos...you and nature sure get along well Rob..hugs to ya today..verena
Now I hate to be negative about this image. I think that you missed the the best images of the day by not seeing the moss that is to the left of the bench. I would have spent the whole afternoon doing some macro work of the moss on the rock and trees. I really like the soft lighting that is so wonderful to photograph under. The image itself is pleasing. Nice job.

Photography is not a trade - it is an art. It is more that an art.

I can smell the air, and hear the water dripping down through the leaves in the woods. Somewhere nearby there is a bird chirping as though the sun was shining brightly. The air is sweet and thick with the damp smell of leaves and needles. Well, that's my take, anyway. :-)
What a pleasant image Rob. I only wish that I were sitting there now instead of my office! The green is so rich and the bench looks just perfect. The lighting isn't too hash and it looks as though there are many thing for the eye to see as one sits quietly and listens to the wondrous sound of nature that you only here in places like this. Excellent capture. Downloaded right into my favorites folder on my hard drive and into my screensaver slideshow folder. Now I can sit here whenever I want!!! Thanks again for the brief respite from noise :~)
Another one 'waiting' Rob....this is a lot nicer than a boat!!...it is a fabulous image...well composed....and great colours...just the kind of place I love to go....Bob
