This is the "horn section" of a Military Band. An instrument of instruments. The cabinetry housed 50+ instruments including the brass trumpets you see here. Military bands were built in North Tonawanda NY (USA) primarily to provide music for carnival rides (Merry-go-rounds, Carousels). This specific instrument was built in 1911 for a roller-rink and uses an "endless roll" system to play it.

Very nicely done. Quite abstract until you really look at it. Nicely balanced tones with the detail of the brass coming up well and no blown out highlights. Very different.

This nicely bridges the genres of still life and abstract.
