Here is part of the front facade of the Parthenon. It's been standing there on the Acropolis of Athens in one form or another for nearly 2,500 years.

Boy, there are a lot of subtleties in this shot. The little square of light between the columns on the left; the straight lines of the row of columns on the far right; the capture of shadows into the light; the ambers of the sunlight reflected off the marble; and the variety of blue in the sky. Well done.

Isnt it just amazing how this could stand for so long, and no earthquake made it tumble?? Kind of almost makes us feel as tho it was "meant to be" here for a long long time for some reason or other..I love this shot you took..the corner like this...gosh, the drama is just amazing!! I love also being able to "see thru it" very very nice!! You have traveled to some amazing places...so glad you share them with us !!

you captured really well the light here. The clear blue sky against the ancient stracture really sets this piece off. Plus it makes an excellent desktop background if you place your icons on the right! Parthenon is an architectural miracle and an object of non stop admiration through out the centuries, thank you for bringing it on our pc!
