They go to visit the gardens in town of course!! This is not my yard or gardens but not too far away really. Four of the five bull elk that came to visit are pictured here. I am sure they came down from the smoke and fire of the High Park Fire here in Colorado. They are all Big Boys too!! I am going to enter this in the contest.

Great entry ACE. I figured the bulls would go where the cows went. I know I would. :)
Good luck.

Stan - Easy to pick vegetation - much better than the dangerous fire-filled lands. Terrific capture! Thad

Wow, that's quite a sight! They like lying in the flowers I see. Must have had a lot of people staring at them and trying to keep their distance. I wonder how they got them back into the forest.

They must be very smart, Stan. They are protected now from the wildfire and have sufficient food to eat. Think however that they are not smart enough to realize that the gardens aren't their property, lol.

My above comment proves that this fine image meets the goal of the current contest, as my imagination was creating the appropriate story, so a a good entry.

Good Luck!

Regards, Cornelius.

What an unusual shot Stan! The elks seem quite contended relaxing in someone's garden. This will be a very good entry for the contest - Hope the people who vote read the narrative to know what this means.

This is a wonderful entry for the contest Stan. I do feel sorry for all the wildlife and humans who are in harms way because of the fires. I really hope the fires can be put out soon. Great photo.

I really never gave it a thought, but now that you mention it, they would go somewhere! This is an amazing capture, that tells a sad story, actually. Fantastic find, great capture, and you get an A+ in investigative photography! Good luck in the contest, Stan.
