I think the subject is good, it looks rustic from the aging leaves.
Placement is great, but light and color could be improved a bit. Like Blackhare I enjoy autumn in warmer colors, lightening the image a bit and adding some warm oranges yellows and reds would improve your fall photographs.

I see the other comments about wishing it was warmer and of course we like the bright sunny warm days of autumn, but I like the coolness of this picture. It give me the feeling of what autumn precurses...dread WINTER. Nice job!
