Heres another from 06. I've been going through my old stuff and found a few treasures. I have one of the bridge taken during the day in the permanent gallery also. "Another bridge view".
I love this shot. When I first looked at it I couldn't figure it out, especially at the smaller size, because to me it appraeed that the downslope was really a 90 degree turn. Only when I opened it to full size did it stop decieving my eye. The exposure is very good, the lights nicely captured and the reflections put it all together for a truly wonderful post.
I was lucky to get this in the VB today, and I'll tell you I was very impressed and the mark I gave it shows. Very clear night shot. I love the reflection in the water of all the lights. Great work.
Stephen I recognized this bridge right away. I've crossed it many times. I live in Sault Ontario & use to travel weekly to coach figure skating in Travis City MI. I'm crossing it again on Saturday, love that bridge.
Had this in VB just now and gave it a 10/10. Bravo - Right into my fav's
This is FAB-U-LOUS night capture and love the reflections, WOW
Just saw the Big Mac in the Featured Images group on the home page and recognized it right away. I haven't been across it as many times as IceDancer but only a few times is enough to make an impression - particularly on a real windy day when it can sway up to a dozen feet! It's a great area to visit and a great shot of a technological marvel. If anyone goes there don't forget Mackinaw Island, where only horses and bicycles are allowed for transportation, and Fort Michilimackinac on the south shore. You enter the site of the latter through an interpretive center and store built right under the bridge approach. Bring plenty of big SD cards. Thanks for submitting it.
Saw this in the "Featureds" section on the Homepage...The "Mighty Mac"...It's a truly beautiful piece of architecture...and it's on my DT...and in the Favs! Kudos!
