This is where the Hobgoblins, the Banshee and the Pucks, and also the fairies live :-) If you are lucky (or unlucky :-)) you can meat a Brown Bear or a Wolf here. I didnīt see any of them, but I did see a Moose Bull but he escaped before I could get a shot of him. This very old Spruce Forest is part of a State Park. Wildlife and everything else is sheltered here.

All comments are most wellcome. I thank you in advance for taking the time. Always greatly appreciated!

From what you say - a camera is not the only thing you must carry when you walk about there. It was already beginning to get dark when you took this! You should have been heading home long ago! Nice shot of the forest Susanne.

Susanne, your woods look so mysterious and dark! I bet there is a big bad wolf lurking in there so be very careful!

But, I must say, what big eyes I have as I stare at your picture. They do that whenever they come across a great photo!

Mammouth trees and almost total darkness. You have captured the feeling of uncertainty in these woods. I don't think I want to enter there even if it means missing a fairy or two! lol Beautiful shot, Susanne

Beware of the Shebannies. Good post and I like the mystery that lies within. They say there is one behind every tree. They just do not say what it is. Good post Susanne.

I think you really need to keep your eye peeled for the Hebannies! I love this, it's truly a 'deep, dark wood' where mythical things lurk and a person could lose their way and become a captive of the faeries and sprites...

I'm not going in there...I'll get lost for sure. LOL. Excellent textures in the tree trunks, especially the front left one that is perfectly focused. I love the DOF in this. Nice composition, Susanne.

"Stay to the path!" said Gandalf, as he rode away. Mr. Baggins and the dwarves were left on their own in the dark forest of Mirkwood." or something to that effect! ;-) Lovely shot of some killer "Hobbit woods" as far as I'm concerned.
