This is one of the many small lakes up in the hills. This was taken in July this summer.

Sharp foreground to distance. The scattering of lillypads echo the wedges of the woods, which are nicely positioned above the midline of the image. The lillypads also give the eye a subtle path to follow, "into" the scene. The reflections create symmetry at the shoreline and the darkness of the water blues contrasts very nicely with the paler sky blues. This is an elegant image, no drama needed nor any obvious "subject", the power is in the balance of the elements. Lovely image.
