This fox was hunting voles in a field when I drove by in my car one day in June. I stopped and managed to get this shot before he spotted me and disappeared.

All comments are most welcome. I thank you in advance for taking the time. Always greatly appreciated! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Very nice capture, Susanne. Rarely could be found. The look of backlit red fox in the beautiful green grass is very beautiful.

He sure looks sly like a fox. They don't hang around very long once they spot a human. Can't say that I blame them sometimes. Can't tell them you aren't interested in fox for dinner, they just sense danger. I would so love to catch a pic of one in the woods, but they elude me though others have seen them there.

Voles are called Meadow Mice in Missouri, Susanne. A great shot capturing the concentration of the fox.
My grandson's will love this one.

A wonderful serendipitous moment! Great shot of a difficult subject, Susanne. I love the pose that you caught him in, and it looks like he's giving you a careful eye before he decided to run off. I like the brightly lit field of green and the nice shadow detail. Well done!

Can you send him my way? I got a pain the butt mole that is killing my yard. Of course, my beagle (heard that they like to hunt moles) doesn't care about it.

It's a great shot of this fox out in the wild.

Just wonder how you tricked him into posing for your cam...

A fox is on my list to photograph once, but I wasn't lucky till now... you are and I am lucky to enjoy this wonderful animal and photo. Foxes are mostly early in the morning or late in the evening active to go eating. What a photo!! Have a wonderful weekend Sussane! Mich
