Lol, very cool, I like the vertical collage layout, and the image on the far right is one of my favorites of yours O_o. Although it would be nice to see a spike from "Sky Mining" poking out somewhere in there :p
All perfect but the centre one - compositionally the gap top centre might be good but it's not your best capture -( I'm thinking of those other sand images you have...)- but a great image and yes, it is shameless, but its good!
Thanks everyone! Mum I see what you mean about the ocean image (I assume that's the one you meant, not sand). The main reason I chose that one is I wanted more than two photographsm especially as that is what I am concentrating on at the moment; Now that I have my snazzy new gear maybe I can capture a more interesting, better quality ocean shot.
This is a great image, Sam! Nice composition and wonderful detail. Although I am a bit confused why the photo of the flowers is titled "Sand". The colors are like sand, I guess! :) But regardless, I think it's great.
Thanks Bill, Canoe, Mary... CG the pages on my site are sorted by these themes which as you guessed are more representative of colors than of content. Easy way to see how this works is to check out the site!! ;-)
I am there often. This is a wonderful advertisement for you. There's as much detail and work in this as you put into individual pieces. It's also a beautiful stand alone desktop.
You may remember from my first visit to your website that I really like how you entitled your themes and this is a great idea with good composition. I like the wave in the ocean image but am not sure about the rest of the background in that one, so I guess I'm with Mum there. Wondering how those awesome blue crabs might work there instead? ;)
I was just curious to see your site after reading your description and, especially, the comments.
I thought I would mention something. I hope you will not be offended by this. I certainly mean it to be constructive and not offensive at all. The stuff in the main frame on the right looks fine, but the writing that forms the navigation labels on the left is extremely difficult for me to read. I think it is a combination of font and contrast, combined with the shadow. I am currently testing a new pair of glasses and this is confusing my eyes a bit, but I was having _much_ more difficulty reading that writing than anything on Caedes, say. Even right now, my eyes are probably far better than some. A lot of people will get annoyed and give up if they can't find their way around a site easily unless it's really essential - and you are competing so it is unlikely many people _have_ to use your site rather than an alternative. I just thought you might not have considered this in designing the navigation.
If this is useless or besides the point, please just ignore it. I should admit to having something of an interest (informal, not very knowledgeable interest) in website accessibility. It would be interesting to see what yours looks like without frames, in fact... Maybe I'll try that another time!
