Where it came from and who it was made by were as mysterious as it's purpose. It looked innocuous enough, although it's surroundings might have seemed somewhat sinister; what the unfamiliar eye failed to realise, of course, is that the Orb was what had created this landscape, sucking the life out of all around it long ago. One thing, though, was clear: it did not belong here.

The picture is just sooo awesome. I love the sinisterness of it all. All laying beneath the surface not really obvious. And an even more awesome story to it. this is in my favorites now.

I think this would be totally killer if the scene was a bit more realistic looking,or maybe a bit smoother.Who knows looks great though.

I like this, pretty nice background. It might be nicer to have a little more detail on the mountain polygons, though. Good job on redering, I've noticed some backgrounds in this category have issues with antialiasing. 7/10

Very nice! Whatever you did to make that sphere look so good, it worked! The reflections are just perfect, with a bit of smoky detail to make it interesting. I noticed that the mountains in the background and the landscape in the foreground are a bit blocky, but somehow they look much more realistic when looking in the reflection in the globe. Perhaps suggesting something about how the orb affects reality? Wow, I'm looking way too deeply into this one. Anyways, great job!

Nicely done...I just still have to say...that these terrains still...just don't look realistic...the orb...the atmosphere and the trees all do look realistic though. I'm not sure if I've asked you this before but is it possible to use Terragen terrains in Bryce?

Samatar,
This is weird, even for you. Regarding your commentary-put the booze down and sober up. (Ha)

It is weird, but delightfully weird.

Ahh shucks! Ignore what PA above me said, this is awesome!!! It sounds like a book, and I devour books on a regular basis. The picture drew me to it, but your little writing next to it pushed my interest level way up! Sounds like a story in the making to me. Awesome pic!!
