Took this on my weekend away in Coolum up the coast. It doesn't exactly match the description, but I think this is the (very unimaginatively named) Brown Honeyeater.

More images and prints available in my Deviant art and Redbubble galleries.

Looks like he was squawking up a storm. I love the "coastal" colored background you caught him in. The sun-drenched blues and greens really brighten him up.

Well done Sam. I know how difficult it is to get a good shot of these lovely birds. The background has come out exceptionally well. I must have 20 shots of these honeyeaters and not one worthy of posting.

I love how the bird sort of blends into the trees and yet announces his presence as though taunting you to capture him. you picked up some stunning detail great capture well done

Wow, Sam! This is a phenomenal shot! Great timing to get him just so, and the detail and clarity of color is amazing! Very well taken!

Great shot. The difficulty of capturing nature on the move makes this all the more appealing.

Wow.

This really is a beautiful image. And having read the comments thus far, I am a little perplexed. You don't do this for a living?

I have noticed the link in your profile ... which I will check after, in all likelihood, having put both feet securely in position.

Anndd, you succceeded in converting me. I love the framing(?) and the use of text, in particular, the font works well. The composition is incredible. You could not have scripted a better balance of subject, background and light. Really really nice.

(p.s. Uhm (<---- muttered a little humbly), so you do do this professionally, it shows. Thanks for sharing your work.)
