This shack is one of several in a small group in the swamp south of New Orleans. These shacks are flimsily built by fishermen and hermits and quickly destroyed when nature has had enough of them. In the small group to which this shack belonged all but one of the buildings were destroyed as Katrina swept aside the works of man that lay in her path. One can only assume their occupants joined the Louisiana diaspora which flung the seeds of my city to the winds of a hurricane that blew them all over a nation. I wonder where they will land?

Ok, now I am really lost ... and I mean literally. It seems like an apparent manipulation (yeah, go ahead and smirk those of you in the know, lol) but, wow ... that simple addition of the foreground ... still doesn't betray the overall image ...

Ok, ok ... I give up ... I still really don't know if this is, in fact, a manipluation, lolol ...

On pure imterest for me, I would have to give this a high mark. Everything works well in the image. I like the feel, and that may be the strongest apsect for me ... very good in conveying that.

Really, really interesting and I mean that as a compliment.

Hi Regmar. This is such a moody photo. I see no flaws in composition whatsoever either. Is this pre-storm or after-storm?

I kept coming back to this one. I want to know what the process was, the filter and percent. Would make a marvelous painting.
