Very nice - the strong complementary colours are very interesting - the purple is so soft and the yellow so strong. I am also not usually a big fan of borders, but here they do enhance the overall effect.
I always try to balance the light with the heavy - a few tears of human spirit in with the sequins and the fringes ~

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

very, very nice. really like the combination of colors here. thesoft blue/purple against this strong yellow. a great capture, crisp and clear. a good shot Sam^^
wonderful macro with lovely soft colors but I agree with *bow* about the yellow frame the yellow is to hard against the soft colors, why not trying soft purple instead:)) but that is just me, let my imagination on the run
Gee wiz mister talk about dy-no-mite details!! Smashing flora with tight, yet delicate details exude!! Not crazy on the border colour being that the heart of the flower is yellow too. A general rule of thumb in regards to framing is to use the 3rd most predominant color or simple white...white always works. This rule is meant to be broken and I sometimes lead with the most predominant color too. I was just thinking out loud again. The overall placement on the take and the water droplets really add a ton of value to the capture!! All in all this baby sparkles buddy!!
Sam,
This beautiful. I have been admiring it for awhile now. Such unusual colors. Great focus. I don't think the "off-sided" presentation works all that well, however. I think fully centered would have been great for this beautiful bloom. Wonderful colors. Can't say eniuf about that.
