Saw it in the VB. Pretty good 'stufin around' on all your Kolydoscope images:) This one stands out for me more than the others for its great explosion of colour and the perfect clarity of the outer buds leaving no doubt as to its origins. Clever work, I hope you have more.

I like the concept and realize the abstract quality, but personally I think there isn't enough focus and too much focus all at the same time.

My eye is first drawn the the "X" shape in the middle of the manip', which would be fine if there was something there.

Without there being any point of subject where the eye is drawn, I think it's too busy. For instance I think it might look better if you reversed the points so the flowers point inward instead of out. That would create a better center of focus, even without there being something directly in the middle.

Just my thoughts :) I think the original photo itself is beautiful.
