I don't know what type of tree this was. Pretty though. Taken in Mt Lawley, Perth, on a trip last year.

Sam, I can see why this caught your attention. The colors are absolutely gorgeous ... I especially like the deep fuschia. Wonderful capture.

The short depth of field combined with the strongly restricted secondary colour palette makes it a marvellously functional as well as beautiful desktop.

I wish I could see the whole tree! If I could I could probably tell you what kind it is (too bad you can't do a google search on an image, huh?) It's very familiar. We had something like this Arkansas, but the blossoms were yellow, and smelled like lemons, even had the same leaves as you mysterious beauty here.
