I was doing some further playing around with the original of this image, which was taken in low light and was therefore quite dark and devoid of color; it occurred to me that it might look good in black and white so I did some HD editing and desaturated it, and was quite pleased with the result. The benefit of choosing B&W in this case is that I was able to adjust the contrast levels much more without making the colors look unnatural, so that the building and details stand out more.

You did a masterful touch-up Sam and B&W suits this extremely well. Nice and balanced between the lake and the main subject of the building and I really like how the clouds streak off to the right at the rooftop level as if they emanated from the roof itself;):) Outstanding post-work buddy!!!!

I agree with the decision to go B/W but I kinda roll that way anyway... It's a superb work of art, very well done!

A nice textured and grainy look in this presentation of the scene. The sky looks much more dramatic in this version.
