Taken at the McWane Science Center located in Birmingham Alabama.

Children making designs in the sand as it spins on a pedestal.

f9.0...1/60...ISO 200...focal length/150mm...WB/Auto. Used the Nikon D70 70-300mm Sigma.

My attempt at the artsy side of life.

Very nice texture and color,the clarity is very good too,honestly you managed to get a very good photo.Keep experimenting with your new camera.

I like it Opie. The clarity around the focus point is really good. I particularly like the shadows on the ladle. There is no holding this country boy back now that he has this camera.

Totally awesome! I'll tell you like a stranger and say the focus is excellent and just a great idea to shoot this! Very fascinating and I just love it! Now...as your friend...bravo and a superb work!..lol

I love the colors. I found oranges soothing to my tortured mind. If only the stick wasn't in there, this would make a great fractal. Even so, I still like it. Pat

I like it, the lighting and focus are so nice. The other side ... it reminds me of the fudge we used to make on the old wood stove, in a cast iron frying pan. It was the smoothest, and best fudge around. Nice shot, and not just because it reninds me of sweets.

I'm very impressed. You've caught the right balance between the "clear" shot and the one that exposure lets slide away into the artistic.

I am impressed with your artsy side! I would like to do that too! Wonder if they used local sand, sort of looks like the red sand/clay from there. Love the colors and motion in the sand. Congrats on the new camera!
