One of the many fire trucks from the 5 station houses we have in our town. This one in particular has volunteered for many missions including forest fires in Oregon and "911" aftermath.

Cleaned up, polished and ready for more missions.

I thought this was a good subject for reflections and practice of DOF.

P.S. Shot in RAW format.

Another great shot and experiment Opie. The colors from the fire truck really stand out on the bell. You can tell it is highly polished. No certain sameness here.

WOW! Great work, I love the bright colors and how shiny the bell is, and amishy is right great reflection in the bell, I can't see you in it, so it must have been pretty hard to get the shot and not be in the reflection. Love +fav.

Pretty neat, Paul. I am trying to figure out if you put the lens flares, or star like things, in there, or if they are natural. Very nice shot.

I love detail shots like this. It's also remarkable that you kept yourself out of any reflective surfaces and still got the angle you wanted. Good job.

Excellent capture Paul. One of my sons is a firefighter/paramedic so these types of images are near and dear to my heart. You have a unique composition in that the viewer is able to see the fire truck but the bell is the focus of the image. Colors are sharp and crisp and the clarity is superb.
FYI, firefighter scrub their trucks every day, including the wheels. The entire engine is checked over as well as all the lights, both emergency and basic. All firefighters love their trucks and you have done them proud!
Thank you for this poignant image. To my favorites it goes as well as on my harddrive.
Thank you for sharing this with me :=)
