Well it looks like retirement for Me. I've been shooting big birds for several years now and have never got a shot of a Great Blue that was that GOOD .
Sort of like the Man who Shot Liberty Valance.
I'll just paddle off into the Swamp Sunset with a Pic of Pauls Great Blue in Hand.

Love dat bird. What a beautiful capture. don't like the background. That's why I blur some of my backgrds but I don't know how you would do that on this one with all those long skinny feathers.

Honestly, an excellent view of the heron! Love the colors and clear details. How close is close? I can never get that close! The only thing that could possibly be improved is the feet. Wonderful work!

Beautiful shot, The colors are great and the clearness on the heron is amazing, you can even see that is leg is still wet from being in deeper water.

That is the BEST pic of a Great Blue Heron that I have ever seen! I am always trying to get a good pic of one, but have never achieved near the level that this pic is!
