This horse lives on a small farm outside of town that takes in abused horses and nurses them back to health. If you could have seen this guy a month ago, you would not have thought he was going to make it. But here he is now with a smile on his face, healthy as a "horse" and happy to pose. BTW....He said he has heard of "Chip" and that he is a star in these parts. Maybe that will help Tick on his search...LOL. I hope you enjoy.

What a beautiful animal and what a beautiful shot! Now you'll have Tick making a five hour trip to Alabama! Why anyone would abuse such a regal and splendid creature is far beyond my understanding. I have to save this beauty.

When the Malta Falcon get back from checking on Ami's Pennsylvania Horses I will send him to Alabama. Thanks for the tip Opie.

This looks like a straight up horse and from what he's been through you can believe him. Great shot and editing is good as well. Glad he is now "healthy as a horse." :)

What a beautiful horse, and you captured him well. I one thing I can't stand, is when someone abuses animals. I so glad that he found a good home, he now looks well taken care of. Thanks you for posting this great shot.

Using the fence line as the bottom border really adds strength/solidity to this shot, colours are rich too.

I am so happy you told the tale about this horsie...and he is for sure beautiful and has lot to be proud of. I still have our two horses...needing to find them a home tho. I have to move soon. I want them to have a happy place, maybe where children can learn to ride at Horse Camp...This is a beautiful photo Paul...loveable horse...great photographer. Verena

Thks for posting this. In my travels around my area recently looking for photos I have come across some pretty sad cases. The horse is such a noble animal. They deserve the finest of homes.

I'm with Momma Pat, horses are nobility, and they were indispensable to us until the 20th century... we ought to at least treat them with dignity and respect. Which is why it makes me smile to see this horse looking well after his ordeal, and maybe even enjoying life. Good one!
