Sunrise from atop Weatherly Mountain looking towards the valley. I'm not sure I pulled off the look I was going for, so any comments and suggestions are always appreciated.

I just purchased a 18-55 VR lens with a Polarizing filter. Any tips how to properly use this filter?

Only 'tip' I can give you Paul...is to keep rotating the P filter for different tones....but you caught this one just fine!....

Faved, gorgeous shot Paul. The darker foreground and the trees on either side frame the distance beautifully. Your exposure shows lots of gradations in the misty wreathed hills and the touch of colour in the sky tops it off deliciously.

Not sure either what you were going for... but I like it very much! Love the layers, from the colored foreground to the clouds and mist. Birds add a nice element as well. The vast view has a majestic mood. Saved to admire more.

The photo is beautiful,Paul, very nice mist, colors and sky,the landscape is beautiful,a few birds can be seen too.I have a polarizing filter too and like Dunstickin (Bob),the advice i can give you is to rotate your polarizing filter for different tones, try different positions and see what you prefer.

It looks like Autumn huffed, and puffed, and blew out a scene that should be a 10 in anyone's book. I hope I get this to vote on. WOWEEE!!! What a gorgeous shot. I can't think of the right word. Humdinger X 100. That's close. Thanks for this gorgeous image, Paul.

I really am enjoying this one Paul. Good perspective and depth. You have to keep turning the filter and watch how it changes the pic. Best to judge by using clouds on a partly cloudy or sunny day. ♪ ♫ :)sandi♪ =^..^=
