As my short journey began to get an image of the Cahaba Lily, we start as I wade into the river to make my way to the growth you see in the background. The journey didn't last long as I fell into the river off of the slippery rocks and twisted my angle just as I was getting ready to make my final move upstream for the close-up. I saved the camera and equipment but boy did it cost me. I did get a shot of the Lily, but not the one I wanted.

You can read more of the Lily HERE.

A great shot with the milky smooth water Opie. Sounds like a Oxymoron I know. You have learned the lesson well on shutter speed/exposure. Sorry to hear about your mishap. Glad to hear you are ok.

This is a great shot and you need to talk to Owd Bob about the goat like traction he gets when wading in the water. :)

None of that for this old geezer. I stay on dry land, although I do trek out over rocks, as long as they are pretty flat ones. LOL. I love the long exposure on the water, Paul. It looks so smooth...like milk, as Tick said. Beautiful overall shot. Take care of that ankle.

Beautifully balanced image and a great DT. Sorry to hear about the fall, consider it a medal of Photographic Commitment. If we have never fallen over with camera in hand, we probably aren't trying hard enough for "the shot". :)

One of the hazards of photography I'm afraid. Paul get that ankle better so we can see more lovely images like this one.
I have tripped over the low slung chains at the DNR, but saved the equipment. :) ♪ ♫ :)Sandi♪ =^..^=
