This proves he is listening Opie. He met you this morning on your way to or from work. It is nice to have him in the passengers seat but better when he is driving. A great post.

OH Paul...times get tough, but remember that we will not be tested beyond what we can bear. It might not always feel that way, but when we look back we can see clearly the pathway we took. And now get stronger and have more courage. It's wonderful when we see sights like this one. We find answers in so many of God's creations. It's so good. Just like the gift of the sunsets. The colours are so wonderful.
I know when you found this and took a photo that you felt at peace on that moment. Thanx for sharing it with us. Verena

You just keep 'hangin' in there pal...everything 'always' comes out okay, in the end!...

A cracker of a scene Paul...and a brilliant shot to boot too!.

Paul, my wife and I had some very tough times as well, because of her disease.
Can therefore understand your situation very well.
To me you have spoken in your narrative some very wise words, accompanied by an appropriate and precious image.
Wish you lots of strenght my friend.
Regards, Cornelius.

Oddly Peter Frampton was on the tube just last night! What a nice find, not everyone even notices these displays of light. I do enjoy the contrasts of light and color with the trees beyond the rays.

Critiquing art of any kind is utterly subjective. When I vote on your images, I look at several things. First, my initial gut reaction. Then, is it straight (if it should be); is the color correct or if intentionally saturated or desaturated, was it done properly and does it enhance the image; composition - if you intended a bulls-eye, unless it's an outstanding image that is really served by centering the subject, it'll get dinged; is the horizon dead center - again, unless there's an obvious reason that makes it a better photo, no points; is the subject interesting and uncluttered; is the image sharp; is the depth of field right for this composition, is there a catchlight in the creature's eye; would I hang this on my wall; is it an image I'd be proud to display; is it artistic or just a snapshot; does it move me; is there a message conveyed; is it documentary in nature and if so, does it tell the story in such a way it makes me want more. When I critique a photo in your gallery, I'm only suggesting what my subjective nature prefers. No need to defend your position if you like your image the way it is. If you give me constructive criticism on my pieces, I guarantee you I will take them to heart. I love to improve! Bring it on Caedians! Love, anne =D

And what greater light is there than Jesus and His love. No matter what happens, he is always there, waiting to take your sin and pain onto himself, and give you a wonderful gift in return. Eternal hope and peace. He is the light in a dark place, the hope in despair, the power in weakness, the hand that is always reaching for you. (if you ever need to know more, I'm here too.)

A gorgeous pic! And great sentiment behind it. I'm praying for you! =-]
