I love StarGazer Lilies ! And this is a superb example of those lovely ladies of the summer. Ever float a couple blooms in a clear glass bowl ? Simple & stunning . Just like your beautiful pic Cat. Love it.

Every mammel on the planet develops a natural balance or a certain equalibrium with the world around them but we humans do not, we move to an area and we multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way we can survive is to spread to another area. There is only one other organism on this planet that follows the same pattern, a virus. Human beings in the intrest of the planet are a desiese a cancer of this eath. (Kinda makes you proud dosen't it)
Comparing the two pictures, I was torn. I love this closeup! But then again the other did have a gorgeous setting. On the other hand, that setting did seem just a tad, well, scraggly, to me. So I compromised. I downloaded this. I also downloaded the other, but a size bigger than my screen. Then I cropped from the bottom and the right, enough to put the middle of the blossom in the middle of the shot and retain most of the pink plant to the right. Now I have the best of both! And which I adore the more I can't even decide.
Hello sweet Catalina, my oh my, are you about to give me competition? I sure wasn't planning on that! LOL! I am having enough trouble holding my own, as they say! LOL! This is a terrific image, you are really getting good gal! It sure makes me feel good, because I bet on you and won, knowing you had talent and you have made me very happy! The championship is yours Honey! Sincerely, Marilyn
Oh and I forgot to mention that the clarity and soft lighting are fantastic and of course these marvelous lillies are great subjects with their flared colors! High marks from your friend, Marilyn
It has taken me this long to get here. My apologies. Annnd ...
Lucky for me (I took a quick peek at your galleries), there are some real jewels here. Like this one. :)
Ok, I am not sure what type of camera you are using, but, the detail and clarity in this image is great. Really top notch on the technical side. It's a gorgeous specimen to boot, so, I will give you part marks and Mother Nature some credit too. ;)
I can't help but notice some of the other flowers that are present. And I insist that you take more composites. The ... er, excuse me here ... 'bouquet' of colours are beautiful. Just a thought and suggestion. Now ...
Off-center placement of this bloom might ... might add some more visual interest and ... well, you know, follow those "rules." But, I don't mind that you show-cased this one, smack dab in the center, as it really is quite beautiful.
EDIT: Oops ... perhaps you could have pulled back ... just a tad, so as to not crop any ... any of this 'creation' of yours.
Nice work. *goes off with admission ticket in hand to peruse some more*
