"And [Adolf Hitler] was a – a vegetarian and a painter, so he must have been going, 'I can’t get the f***ing trees – d**! I will kill everyone in the world!'"
There are so so many elements present in your image that make this a great photo.
Composition being the highest on the list, almost ... almost perfect.
And this is a personal one for me ... the mix of differing textures; the pumpkin's skin, the iron fence, the wood siding and so on, makes for interesting play.
The colour saturation of the image ... nice.
Where you fall short of your quest for the wooly mammoth (lol, a little jest, of course), at least in my humble opinion ... is the focal aspect and/or depth of field. It seems that the photo really is calling out for a stronger focal point.
Which begs the question, if you have any other shots from that day ... I would be interested in seeing them as well.
Still, this image was strong enough to 'jump' out of the gallery, and that is definitely a compliment. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more of your 'hunts.'
How wonderfully "organic"! Great composition!....and color! I especially like the sunlight and shadows "paint" the pumpkin. Thanks for sharing this one.
