I really like how you setup the horizon by using the boats as a diagonal. And by using light color (highlighting the boats) progressing to darker shades (left side). Your composition is excellent.

Stunning contrast between the boats and the sky-water. Lovely placement of the red boat! Nice clear rendition of the reflections. A keeper! Thanks.

I like the light and color contrasts in this and also the composition. I all sets the focus on the boats. Very well done!

Beautiful scene Shannon. I really like the reflections and how the sky and the water seem to be one. Lovely post.

Beautiful shot Shannon. The composition, color, sharpness, lighting, weather, crystal clear reflection, angle...what more can I say. It's just about perfect from my perspective. Well done. anne :-)

There are tons of websites for uploading snapshots - photos of your neice, back yard, etc. "Caedes Man" did not start this website for that purpose. His intent was to offer a venue for folks to share artistic images that could be used as desktop backgrounds. Does anyone really want an out of focus shot of a dog for a desktop background? probably not. Let's share the good stuff and help others by telling them what's good or how to improve an image. We could all make Caedes a great site for everyone and use those other places for the snapshot sharing. A first rate family snap sharing website is www.easysite.com. FREE website to share all your snaps plus a whole lot more. Thanks for giving honest and usable feedback. Blessings to all, anne :-)

Well, again ... your compositional strengths come to the forefront.

With a rather difficult subject matter and setting to boot.

Clarity is good. Drama is even better. :o)

Caveats?

If possible, and this might be personal preference ... that, or the fact that my eyes are still half-closed :oP ... perhaps, some ... some, colour adjustment?

As in, I am seeing some magentas in the whites of the various boats. Not suggesting to entirely remove the colour, just tone it down a tad.

No doubt, the lighting is responsible ... and is most likely a result of that same factor messing a bit with your in-camera's processing and sensors.

Er, I think?

Told ya, my eyes are half-closed. :oP

Just kidding a bit, Shannon.

My nonsensical suggestions aside ... your image/photo here stands readily, and well enough on it's own merits ... as you presented it to us.

Very nice shot. And but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)

p.s. Are you away from the Great White North at the moment? If so, let's have a look perhaps?

If not, spring is finally here ... kind of, sort of. (Not safe to say so really, till ... hmmm, July. :oP)
