To prove that my "Early Spring" was a bit optimistic, winter returned to Cornwall overnight. The bridge at London Apprentice (affectionately known locally as "LA") sported an unusual dusting of snow this morning :-)

Lovely shot. You seem to have something of a similar winter to me here in south of Sweden. Winter basically stays away 'til you get really tired of all the gray and darkness. Then when you think spring is right around the corner you get snow and cold... ^_^

Wonderful palette. Did you add a noise filter? Anyway, picture postcard perfect!

Thank you all very much for your kind comments. We've certainly had that kind of winter this year, Klas - two weeks ago I could walk around at lunchtime in a t-shirt and it really felt like spring was on its way. Now snow two days running - it's been a few years since that happened here. And Tracy, the only editing on this one was a little sharpening. I think I may have overdone that a bit - it looks very different on my monitor at work this morning from how it looked at home last night.....

Very nice. I think I can see some sharpening along the riverbanks but I quite like it, gives an effect a bit like a painting. Lovely composition too.

Thank you Joost, Pierre and Sam :-) I must have taken a dozen shots of this bridge in the last couple of months and this is the first one that's worked. Amazing what a little touch of snow can do...

It’s a very beautiful image. The temperature hit 44C a couple of days ago, next time that happens this picture is going on my desktop. Many thanks.

Another great addition to the Caedes collection. Recently, I've been finding some of the uploads a little sub-par. Thanks for restoring my faith.

Really nice. If it's close enough to you, please take a pic when the green comes back to life too. Should be an amazing contrast. ;-)

This is really awesome- kind of old-worldy and it looks like a painting. I have to put it in my favorites- it's so pretty :) I like it a lot- great job.
