Taken 20 mins after Mirror twins , when the shaft of light caught the bevelled edge of the mirror which acted like a prism and refracted it onto this table leg. Makes a plain background, but quite attractive imho.
Your humble opinion is highly respected. This is a very pleasing end result for desktop use. I love it Simon. Your title is super too!! ;) The color you acheived here is tremendous.
There's something you don't see every day. What an interesting psuedo-natural phenomenon. Great capture of it and no sign of you in the reflection. Don't know how you pulled that off but it sure turned out nice!
I played around with a similar phenomenon some week ago. I had a blast. I'll post something the next week I think. ^_^ I guess I'm lucky in some way that I can get satisfaction from such small things.
You and me both, Klas. The day after I took this I made sure I was in my room before the sun reached the edge of the mirror, then spent ten minutes moving this table around the room, trying different distances, different angles and different camera settings. None of them came out as good as this "snap it before it vanishes" shot. It was fun, though :-) I look forward to seeing your pic....
I posted one of my photos from that shooting session now. It's called "Rainbow Graining" (the name was inspired by your wonderful play with words here). I couldn't post it before the "Guess the Artist" contest was over since I used a similar shot as raw material for the manipulation I submitted there.
Great. My first set of Caedes downloads were always images like this. I love the seamless change in colours across the image. Shows the spectrum at it's best.
Gosh, I love rainbows and I have several crystals around my house that catch the sun and fill my front room with all sorts of dancing ones. A little bit of the Pollyanna in me!!
