I very much like the striations in the rock. It's not too often that I get to see stuff like that. The water I think detracts from the image by making your camera underexpose the rock and making it a weaker image element. The green to the right, while being a good compositional element also distracts from the rock striations which really should be the main event here. You can see this sort of work in fotobob's "Antelope Canyon" pieces.
