So great that it almost looks like a manipulation. The orange of the sky is very nice with the grey. The composition is superb. The whole image is excellent. Thanks indeed for sharing.
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, His eternal power and Godhead;... Rom 1:20
Thanks a lot for all the comments everyone. This photo is actually an HDR, taken at night. There is also a technique you can do in Photoshop by setting the blue levels to 100% red and then setting the red levels to 100% blue under the channel mixer. This creates a simulated infrared look.
Just had this in the VB and gave it a high number. I like the colours and the comp and the effect you have used adds to the haunted feeling. Wonderful work! +favs
This is such an amazing photo... and disturbing (in an interesting way). I have a creative side that instantly engages when I first look at a photo so before that slips away, I’ll tell you what I see.
I see fire and ash. The black trees and ash colored foreground make it feel as if a fire swept through. The burning color of the sky is like fire from above and the rushing motion of the clouds gives the feeling that the destruction isn’t over yet. Your angle is curious and interesting being set low. It changes my perspective to a kind of prone level. My eye is always drawn to the mostly “unburned” Christian cross shape of the barn support boards.
You may not have meant to convey this type of feeling with your picture but I appreciate it exactly because for me, it does have a story. Some pictures show something beautiful or cute or otherwise interesting. And some photos, like this one, tell stories.
