This is an old pond mill I came across, sitting alone in a field. Time stopped for this old mill at 2:00 on a fateful day, and today it sleeps restlessly in the wilderness, next to it's pond.

Wonderful! This looks like the old mill that stood beside the mill-race in the old park of my hometown. It, and the race, are both gone now. Too sad!

I love these shots of old places...it captures the imagination of what once was and creates a sentiment for simpler times...and how fitting with a clock on the building...great colors and great shot.:Pat.

Someone has taken great care of this wonderful place. A lot of rich wood tones in this one.

Thank you very much. I mainly photograph old, abandoned building. They intrigue me very much, to stand inside an abandoned place, which was once filled with people going about there business. It makes me think, what was it like 10 years ago, in this very spot I stand, the walls now faded, the color bleeding away.

I look forward to sharing more of my work, and I look forward to seeing everyone elses!

the wheel is there

This is a beautiful shot. I gave it a '10'. Old buildings are one of my favorite categories. Where is it?

I like the interplay of the browns and reds on the mill, it gives it a old days feeling. A very good shot.

I love this photo. You've captured more then just a building but a moment in time as well. The weather, with the grey sky etc. only lends to the magical feeling this image holds.

Do you have any photos with the pond in it as well? As for this one, it is going straight into my favourties.

This is a very nice pic taken with just the right lighting. The photo would have lost some of its "mood" had you taken it with bright sunlight and sharp shadows. The building does appear to have a little tilt to the left and the only improvement I could suggest would be a slight (1-2 degree) rotation clockwise. Thanks for posting this one -- love shots of old buildings. Let's see more of your work.

I too like old buildings and just love this photo. I really like how you captured it, being able to see the weathered wood. Thanks for posting.
