This is an old pond mill I came across, sitting alone in a field. Time stopped for this old mill at 2:00 on a fateful day, and today it sleeps restlessly in the wilderness, next to it's pond.
What a lovely old timey photo...sure makes one think..bout time..and things...nice you were able to take this pic...Ive always wanted a water mill....thank you so much for this posting
I love these shots of old places...it captures the imagination of what once was and creates a sentiment for simpler times...and how fitting with a clock on the building...great colors and great shot.:Pat.
Thank you very much. I mainly photograph old, abandoned building. They intrigue me very much, to stand inside an abandoned place, which was once filled with people going about there business. It makes me think, what was it like 10 years ago, in this very spot I stand, the walls now faded, the color bleeding away.
I look forward to sharing more of my work, and I look forward to seeing everyone elses!
I love this photo. You've captured more then just a building but a moment in time as well. The weather, with the grey sky etc. only lends to the magical feeling this image holds.
Do you have any photos with the pond in it as well? As for this one, it is going straight into my favourties.
Jesse:
This is a very nice pic taken with just the right lighting. The photo would have lost some of its "mood" had you taken it with bright sunlight and sharp shadows. The building does appear to have a little tilt to the left and the only improvement I could suggest would be a slight (1-2 degree) rotation clockwise. Thanks for posting this one -- love shots of old buildings. Let's see more of your work.
