Kelburn Castle in Largs, Scotland. The Earl of Glasgow has asked Historic Scotland if the graffiti can remain as a permanent feature of the Castle. The local council allowed the mural to be painted on the wall by Brazilian artists in 2007, with a three year limit put on the graffiti pending the start of rendering work at the castle.

Killer shot, Ray. Who took this beautiful photograph? It's light, fun and airy with some frolicking lighting and the happiest of colors. This has virtually no resemblance to the shots I've been enjoying by Ray. Are you his identical twin brother? I was going to say evil twin brother, but your other work seems to demonstrate that you are the one with the dark, moody and evil temperament.

This one's a pleasant departure from your other work. I think you posted this because I said that I was starting to recognize your work in the new images section. Except for that creepy tree, this shows another side to your photographic personality. I like it, but it'll take some getting used to. Excellent posting but very surprising. I guess an elephant can change its spots or something like that.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

This is an interesting multiple juxtaposition. The beautiful castle and the intriguing graffiti that tends to distract and obscure the castle. Further that tree is, to me, lovely and would fit well with the original castle. Get the Brazilians back to paint the tree! :)
Still, I think this graffiti should have a limited life and then immortalized forever in photographs... in America we would adore such a beautiful castle framed by such an old and weathered tree...and it would almost literally hurt to let it remain permanently, and impudently, painted.

Such a wonderful picture. So cool that this artwork was allowed in the first place. I hope it remains. Faved.
