Taken near Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia. I liked the stretch of sand visible a little further out and used a polarising filter to cut through reflection in the foreground making the scattered rocks visible.
Awesome shot, beautiful colors..The only thing I see is its a bit on the grainy side at 1024 X 768. Not sure if thats fixable or unavoidable. It was a very wise to use a filter.
Usually I'd say that dividing the picture directly across the center like this creates an uninteresting division of space. But with this shot, it seems to work. Nice photo.
Wow Jake, you really have done a fantastic job here! The differences in color, whisps of clouds and mirrored rocks in the clear water, and golden sand makes a beautifully balanced image. Bravo!
I love it. I must have downloaded a hundred pictures today. I think this one is definitely in the top three. Such a rich blue sky, and so non-threatening
