I used a simple and easy technique in Gimp which Tanju told me about for adding good contrast to my photos and this is what I got. The framing was done manually in PS.

You are good student and Tanju good teacher. Excellent photo. But it's not yummy, yet. Although I prefer the blossom than the fruit. LOL
