The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
As an artist, what I am most struck by in this particular image is your masterful and effective use of transparent textures.
I find myself pouring over the design with the same delighted enthusiasm of a starving man seated to feast at a banquet.
The canvas texture works exceptionally well with this image. The raised and depressed "chipped paint" texture is ingenious. And the canvas texture leading to a sort of honeycomb effect of the vignette edges is just flat-out, freakin' cool!
I am so impressed by your artistry, Carol! I learn from you. You influence me with your unique vision and self-expression and inspire me to be a better artist.
I love this moody 'painting'! Very well done (per usual)!
