I see a kinship, Carol, between you and a historical architect with whom I used to work. He would travel the country roads around my state, collecting photographic documentation on practically every barn he saw, regardless of condition. It was the occasional round barn, however, that would cause him to inadvertently drive his car off the road because of his rubbernecking. He banged up enough cars this way that he received a gag gift one Christmas of a hard hat with a toy car glued to the top. Despite the number of barn photos he shot, though, none achieved the artistic quality of yours. No specific color treatments, no filter work, no judicious eye to aesthetics as you apply to your delightful offerings. If it is safe for you, and approachable for you, I would be interested in seeing your interpretation of an occasional interior capture, with soft shadows, the dusty shafts of sunlight through roof holes, or maybe the occasional pigeon flapping from the intrusion of the photographer.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
