Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking, and can symbolize a way of living. It's the feeling of enjoyment beneath our toes...it removes the barrier between us and nature...(AdeleCoombs,Barefoot

You caught "the moment" on this one. Luv the water droplets/spray all around the boat as it fractures into a million pieces...Perfect in content and detail. This photo screams of action. The mind propels the boat through the water as if it really were moving...all because of your fine photography. Looks like something I might try if I were30 yrs younger.

This is easily the best action photo I've ever seen in the Caedes collection. The depth of field on the hobie is great, the colors strong, and the craft is offset just a little to the right giving it all it needs to visually have someplace to go. The explosion of that wave under the cat shows the battle between wind and sail, and the strength of contrast between the boat and the skyline puts nearly all the emphasis on the boat by framing it with the background. The skyline is industrial, hard-edged, and gray while the boat is fluid and full of color. And the old rule about avoiding placing a horizon line in the middle of a photo is just that -- old -- and should be broken often. This photo does that beautifully. I've created a screensaver for my Macs that includes over 200 images, all of them involving water in some way. This one is going straight in there. Thanks for submitting it.
