Sunset in the San Jacinto Mountains above Idyllwild. I wish I would have brought a flashlight for the hike down the mountain. Oh well, anything for a photo!
What awesome colours!! Not only that flaming red..but then the egg-yellow!! You are so fortunate to have gotten such a wonderful shot at this. I hope you did ok without the flashlight...This is a most wonderful picture!! The way you got the mountains in the distance and then that one in front of you...whoa!! Bravo!!!!
This is really a great image. Obviously you made it down without the flashlight.
This great image is proof of that.
I can't say enough about the image so let's just say:
10 by me, on my desktop for a week and in my favorites gallery.
Well, I will admit, that from the thumbnail, I surely thought this was computer generated with Terragen. The colors are unbelieveably beautiful and the image is so clear. I love the way the sunset and the mountains just blend together. The layering effect is breathtaking. I am glad that you made it back to flat ground safely and I persoanlly, am glad that you took this image. It is going into my favorites folder on my harddrive and into my caedes.net slideshow folder that I use as my screensaver and, it is going to be my new desktop. Thank you so much for posting this :~)
Awsome shot my friend. 10/10 and right into my favourites. I see we have another brilliant artist here in Caedes.
The hint of haze in the background gives a feeling of depth to this breathtaking vista. The right person at the right place in the right moment. It must have been glorious to be there.
I too thought this was a CGI...the colors are amazing and with that glowing mountainside the whole composition is very dramatic and awe-inspiring...glad you made it back to share with us...top marks and favs.:Pat.
Spectacular image, brilliant reds and purple's and yellow displayed. How easy on the eyes is this. Wonderful overall image and the view is awesom. Great work!
Hmm....I don't know what to say about this image other than, fantastic! Its dynamic, colourful, moody and pin sharp....I love the composition and the tones within this image and I like the effort you've put into achieving this shot....Its pictures like this that reminds me why we photographers bother to get out of bed to go for a shoot...Well done...All the best...Mick.
Stunning capture, the colours are so impressive. Really like how the tips of the hills are sticking out of the mist all the way through the image. High marks form me.
Now that's really something Chip! What an incredible good photo, bravo!
I wish I could have joined you up that mountain.
How did you create those great looking colors?
Paul
