Hi Tedi, I think the auto focus on your camera focussed for sharp grass and left the rock a bit out of focus. It probably happened because of how bright that white light reflecting off the rock is, I have found really strong reflected light from shimmering water can confuse the auto focus mechanism in my camera. I like the rock, I come from a long line of "rockhounds". hehe.
Mythmaker has some good suggestions. What camera are you using? The rock has lots of nice angles and edges as well as different colors. The background adds some other pretty colors to show off the rock. Keep posting. I have a sense that you are going to be a great photographer. I used to have rock collections too. I still like them, but I like so many other things too. I bet you also have lots of interests.
I think you've got an unusual eye for the abstract. The white flecks of grass, the orange leaves and the white of the rock make for a pleasant palette of colour. All from a jagged rock on the ground. Good for you!
