I love the way it looks painted in the background and the rose is so clear. I can almost smell ilt! I love your quotes, too. They always go perfectly.

I had to take a second look at the background, too - did you do something special to it? This rose is stunning and the whole scene is so well composed, Terry! Gosh, does it look great on the desktop!

Sweet! I do like the treatment you did on the background. This is special, and it does work well on the desktop. That's what it's all about.

Absolutely gorgeous rose and I love the message. Did you write that? And, how so very true about thorns with every rose. Sure wish I could find a way to enjoy the roses without the thorns. Lovely post and a most beautiful rose.

Now that's a really neat effect, doing something different to the background, but leaving the rose in it's natural beauty alone. Creative thinking. Very nice composition and beautiful two toned rose!

Obviously Frank Stanton knew a lot about life and roses, and you know a lot about how to post a wonderful pic that is enjoyable..everyone has already remarked on the eye-catching backdrop, and I like the interesting manipulation work here. It doesn't detract from the carefully realistic presentation of the rose, and it was captured so well. The colors are soft and fresh...no wonder as others have commented it's almost as if you can smell it. The lighting picks up the highlights on the delicate lighter parts, and is very kind in its illumination, not overdoing anywhere...the shadows created make this even more endearing and it's going straight into my faves. :)PJ
