This was a sculpture I found inside Worcester Cathedral erected in memory of Colonel Sir Henry Walton Ellis, K.C.B. He lost his life on 20th June 1815 in the battle of Waterloo under the command of Wellington. He was just 32 years of age. Standing in front of this sculpture I felt in awe of the artist who sculptured this in his memory, and felt it portrayed 'that moment' visually and movingly.

Yo have done a fine job of presenting this sculpture. Perfectly centered, ans an image like this should be. I like the tilted angle of it, too. Very nice, Ann.

Statues and sculptures are always hard to capture Ann, because their white, grey or black colours prevent most of the time to get a good contrast with their background. From that point of view, I like to say that you've achieved a perfect result. Good and very interesting post. Well done!

It's not often we hear of the Battle of Waterloo these days Ann, & even less of a Colonel who lost their life in combat.
This is a mighty fine monument, & a mighty photograph fine photograph too.
