I like this view of either a convergence of tracks or a divergence depending on which way you are going. I personally think train tracks have a sense of adventure to them, and a simple flip of a lever can completely change the direction you are heading. This view captures that point where your direction can be completely altered. The mystery and excitement that comes from knowing someone could change your course without your knowledge makes train tracks much more compelling than roads.
Well done. Thank you for sharing with us.
Tracks are compelling because they symbolize life. It shows the many pathways that your day can bring you, and you will never know your end destination..
...umm, you can seriously make anything a symbol. I'm starting to wonder if professional book writters realize that they are making symbols in their book. =P Lol. I bet it's just something the teachers make up, just like i just did. ;-)
Anyways, i like this. Favs, 1) It's B&W 2) It's train tracks 3) i like it... >_>
This is a very good shot! It might as well end up as one of the best. I'm glad you took it in B&W. The lines (tracks) in the photo draw you closer and into a weird dimension. Very cool effect! We have a saying in Afrikaans: "Speel tussen treine" It means "Play amongst trains"
When I first looked at this picture...I immediately saw the Caedes Spider in it. :) What a wonderful illusion..or is it just my weird imagination? :) Anyway...great pic. :)
One of the best black and white images i've seen in a while. Sometimes i think people use Black and White to hide imperfections in the coloured versions of their work (call me a pessimist!) but here i think the colour scheme is beautiful as it's understated and makes you focus more on the composition, the lines of the tracks etc. This piece makes me really reflective on life in general. I love it and thank you =)
