I've never even really attemped making one of those myself so I can't say I'm exactly the right person to comment on this, but I will anyway. This photo doesn't have that dreamy silky look some people are able to come up with, but it still gives a good sense of movement in the water, especially in the top right part of the picture. The bottom left part looks more like it's out of focus though, or maybe it suffers from shake blur, I can't tell. Either way, that's the part of the photo I like least.

As far as composition goes, the only thing I would suggest would be to try to get some of those dead leaves more into the frame or in the foreground or something, just for adding some contrast. Or maybe a nice big rock covered in green moss, or a dead log or something like that would work great if positioned properly in the frame.

Overall I think this is a solid attempt at capturing fast moving water, which I think is one of the more difficult types of photography, but you can still improve a lot. Just keep on shooting! :)

Thanks...was testing a camera got my 11 year old for christmas...cause they only give a 30 day return....Thanks for all the great input...that was like the 4th pic I took with the camera...so...not suprising its not that great yet...but learning....so can teach her to...alot to those digital cameras...

This almost looks like it is silk ribbon! The only suggestion I would make is to have a focal point for the image. That is my opinion only. Not bad for a 4th shot out of a brand new camera. I am sure that your daughter will get hours of enjoyment from her new 'eye'. Good luck! Thanks for sharing this with us ;=)
