A wonderland. I love the pastel sky too. Wish the snow would stay on the trees longer, but the wind always seems to blow it away too quickly. Such a pretty shot, Tom.Had I not used my two AC nominations for the week already, this would be an image I would not hesitate to nominate.
Though this passage, written by Jack London, is just the opposite of what we see here, the memory of it just popped up and into my mind when I saw your wonderful picture.
From, "White Fang:"
"Dark spruce forest frowned on either side the frozen waterway. The trees had been stripped by a recent wind of their white covering of frost, and they seemed to lean towards each other, black and ominous, in the fading light."
A marvelous shot, Tom! The scene seems to glow with that wonderful sunlight. The snow-laden trees, glossy creek, and the pleasing shades of white, gray, and blue combine for an absolutely beautiful winter scene. Excellent exposure and composition as well. Well done!
I am such a sucker for winter scenes.. and this one is a beauty... it really looks like a winter wonderland... beautiful.. I can feel the cold from here (which is good as I'm melting over here at the moment.. lol) love it
