Although I can see the shimmering of the water Tom, it has the appearance of contemporary painting. Love the textures as well.

Tom, this image is wonderful - it looks like artwork as well as an abstract. Well done.

The water ripples refract and distort the shape of the stones to the extent that the snail shell is camouflaged a bit, making only that huge foot stand out. But the foot pulls the eye right to it, forcing the viewer to really think about what they're seeing until they identify the snail shell. Any shot can have elements that make it pretty but the successful one makes you think. I like that in a photograph. A favorite for me.
