This mill was built in 1636 by John Jenny who came from Leyden and was part of the original Plymouth colony. It burned in 1837 and was rebuilt in 1970.
I really like mills, and this certainly looks like a grand one. How nice that they rebuilt after so many years of it burning down, Hooray for whoever was behind restoring it. tigs=^..^=
Wow, that's quite an age...these mills make such a charming scene...nice angle and I like the little bit of pink amidst all that greenery...great capture.
It was a long time before the old mill was rebuilt Tom! the 1970 restoration was done well. Good details and lighting here and it's pleasing to see a link to the past. (o:
