If you were trying to show an isolated and abandoned pier in the middle of nowhere, you succeeded brilliantly. The amount of negative space once again shows that you have more guts than I do. You gave me the nerve to post my flower shot with a black background. Perhaps I'll take another giant leap of faith and divert from my middle of the road photography based on your shot.
Dorothy Michaels: No, just Dorothy. Alan's always Alan, Tom's always Tom and John's always John. I have a name too. It's Dorothy, capital D-O-R-O-T-H-Y.
Back in the 70's, a friend of mine had a farm house on the Cape and entertained my sister and I for a week of vacation. We spent a lot of time at that beach and took in the art life of P-Town. Your picture brought back the good memories of that vacation.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Those are not my footprints Lisa. I walked in from the road , between houses , and took a few photos here. Not as desolate as it seems. John , we may have crossed paths then as I spent a lot of time here in the summer and took in the art life in P-town too.
