abstract->fractal
A stray black cat's contribution to Les's Apophysis Challenge. It bounced in at the black of night and bounced over everything including the keyboards. With some misgivings, I left my Winged Star rendering overnight. While I was dreaming in bed, the cat opened up the mutations panel and created a new fractal.
All I did with it was change the gradient then bring out its detail in Photoshop Elements.
He's gone home now, but he doesn't live too far away. I can't help hoping he'll come roaming back to create some more wallpaper art.

That silliness of mine aside ... another very nice expansive flame Tootles.
Curious though ... thinking here, if you could achieve some additional depth with a contrast adjustment in Photoshop Elements. (Which is what I believe you have?)
Annnd ... as a trial for yourself, not sure exactly which transform ... it should be either the first (red) or second (yellow) ... add in a rectangle variation with a value between .02 and lower, even as far as .005. Your flame here might be a good candidate for that.
Quite appropriate for this time of year in my mind. Warm and a bit ghostly too. Hallowe'en -ish to me.

Thanks - I'll give it a go! My PC is still rendering away, but it says it will be finished in 43 minutes 29 seconds. (Drums fingers).
